VEGETATION MANAGEMENT is crucial for ensuring that land development projects result in planning outcomes and strategies that consider and address planning constraints. This detail and level of integration ensures code compliance and sustainable outcomes, and ensures our clients are not compromised by any legal proceedings regarding vegetation removal. The implementation of our vegetation management plans provides significant benefits to returns on property values, ecosystem function, local water quality, and landscape character.

Specific vegetation management issues include management of threatened plant species which provide a variety of planning challenges to ensure any impacts can be effectively mitigated to allow correct translocation and removal.

Aquatic Weed Management Strategic Plan – 3600ha Burnett Mary Catchment QLD

This four month project required a detailed review of previous management strategies, consultation with stakeholders and field surveys to determine gaps and develop the strategic plan for the control of aquatic weeds in the Burnett and Kolan catchments. The project involved combining management directions from five (5) regional councils, the Department of Primary Industries – Biosecurity and the Environmental Protection Agency. The project involved mapping, presentations, producing strategic priority and action plans, and formulating simultaneous equations to determine equitable funding contributions from a range of variables and investors.
